Today was the last day to book for the furry cruise under the current group rate. At this point and time there is still space available onboard the ship for further bookings and I encourage anyone who may wish to join us after this point to feel free and contact our travel agent at 1-800-542-3895 and ask what may be available. From this point on we can no longer guarantee availability or price of the rooms. If at any point you do book please let me know by posting on the furry cruise LJ email me. For those who have expressed interest in joining the cruise next year please feel free to join the Cruise LJ as next years cruise will be voted on and announced there.

In past years the cruise has been mostly an open unscheduled event during the days as there is plenty to do in the ship shore cruises to enjoy and plenty of time to relax. During the evenings we are seated together in the dining room for dinner and after dinner we have access to a room to hang out a meeting place for suiting and a place to plan the next day this so far has worked very well but if there are any suggestions for activities or something you would like to see happen please let me know. As the cruise date gets closer I will be posting a topic for people who wish to discuss shore cruises and maybe group together for them. Hi I am posting today for those who have joined the LJ but wish to know more about the cruise. The cruise started at MFF a few years ago as a random thought that Latin Vixen (famous fursuit maker) had about how cool it would be to get a group of furs together and go on vacation together aboard a cruise ship. The next year (2005) she ran with the idea and the furry cruise was born. The cruise itself is not a con, per say, but more along the lines of a week long furmeet. Each day we have access to all of the normal ship activities lounges dance clubs ect and each night after dinner we have access to one of the ships conference rooms to meet up talk draw stage fursuiting and just hang out. Think of a vacation with all your furry friends. The atmosphere is G-rated and very laid back with plenty to do, both with friends and on your own. Shore cruises are offered at each port of call and as with past years with Royal Caribbean, the boat is fursuit friendly with positive reactions from both the staff and the general ships guests. So let’s see most people who know me know I am a gear head and have a love of diesel engines. I have worked on a few over the last few years but mostly its just random knowledge cluttering my head ;). Well today I had the fun time actually putting some of that to knowledge use. I stopped in the shell station on my way home to grab lunch and noticed the construction crew in the parking lot working one there little Caterpillar forklift truck being the curious dog a wandered over and poked my nose in to say hi and see what was up. The guy working on it told me that it had ran out of fuel and though he had an idea of how to fix it was wondering if I could look at it too. This is where my little diesel background comes in, if you run a Cat out of fuel they get RELLY cranky and wont start until you bleed the air out of all the fuel lines fuel filter injector pump and injector lines so I went to work with the guy watching and half an hour later we had the thing purring happily once agen. For my help I got $20 and a bunch of thanks from the guys.. yay for random knowledge ;) *wagwagwag*

Hello everyone I would like to announce an impromptu trip to Cedar Point on Saturday October 25^th at this moment the weather forecast looks to be favorable for a trip that day. I wanted to post hear to see if there was anyone else interested in going. Raeth and my self will be arriving at the park at 12:00noon (give or take). Anyone wishing to join us to wander the park and enjoy a full day of riding roller coasters and general mayhem feel free to drop me a message hear and we can meet up near the main entrance of the park in front of the carousel between 12:00noon and 12:30p unless other arraignments are made. This particular Saturday the park is open 12noon to 12midnight for HalloWeekends witch is loads of fun. Please be sure to dress for the weather it will be a bit on the colder side especially after the sun goes down, roller coasters at night are a blast but the wind chill is something to be dressed for.

So to recap

When: Saturday October 25^th Cedar Point Sandusky OH. 12noon to 12midnight (Weather permitting)

What are we doing: riding roller coasters and other rides ;)

Where to meet: 12:00-12:30p Main entrance in front of the carousel (please let me know if your planning on attending so we know who is coming. if you wish to meet up at a different time or location please inform me as such so we can plan)

FOOD!!! : to be determined by the group at the park. There is no lack of food at or near the park.

Other information: please dress for the weather this trip can be a blast as long as you bundle up for the night time cold.

Last bit of information the trip will be run unless the weather is bad. (if there is going to be all day rain not chance of a brake the trip will be canceled. If its just overcast with a short spot of rain the trip will still happen)

Hello Everyone.

            Hi its me Keet. I do apologize that I haven’t updated in the last week or so but due to some fun times rebuilding a motor for my boyfriends car ;) I have been quite busy. For all of you that have signed up for the cruise so far I do have a list of peoples names and cabin assignments though I would like to request a show of hands as to who has joined us and there RL and Furry names (I will keep comments screened) so I can match up who is who and have a list of names for those people who are attending. This list will be important if we manage to secure the conference room onboard the ship (this is still in the process of being setup if unavailable another meeting place will be setup).

            In other news final payments are DUE at this time. I contacted the travel agent and have been requested to ask 4 people to contact her as she seams to have run into difficulty with the phone #’s she has on file she has all payment information on file but just needs to speak with the fallowing people for conformation. (I do apologize). if  (Matthew L. and Matthew Ray C.) as well as (Douglas B. and Kennith D.) please call the travel agent ASAP at 1-800-542-3895 this would be appreciated.

Hi I want to thank everyone that has signed up so far or has informed me they will be booking shortly. We currently have 22 people onboard for this years cruise, a good sized group indeed. Upon saying that I still encourage all of you to pass the booking information along to anyone you feel might still be interested in joining us this year the more the merrier. I also wanted to put out a friendly reminder for all of you on this list who still wish to join the furry cruise. You have just a little over 2 weeks left to reserve. The cut off date for all new reservations is September 2^nd  please contact the travel agent listed in the cruise info no later then Monday September 1^st to allow her time to contact you and  set up your reservation. Final payment is still due on September 15^th, for those still seeking a room mate please be aware if you do not have a room mate on that date you will be expected to pay for 2 people. Once more the deadline for ALL new reservations is September 2^nd. Thank you all for joining us this year and I look forward to seeing you onboard.
